Hi I have 97 Accord LX, and today my battery went dead so I had to jump it as usual. Had a friend helping me out as not usual and he accidentally hooked up the wires wrong. Sparked of course and now there is no power to the car whatsoever, acc lights wont come on, no crank, nothin. So my question is; does anyone know if there is reverse current cut-out relay or a main fuse to prevent frying up the whole car? Or is it a bigger mess than just a fuse?

Check all your fuses, check the main relay, check your alternator(probably fried the diodes). Really wont be able to tell until you put in a fully charged battery and do some troubleshooting.

 

You probably just blew the main 80 amp battery fuse. Along with some other misc audio fuses.

 

Thanks guys, went out to look at today and magically the power was back again and with a help of battery cart it fired right up
