Default D16 rods on D15 crank

Basically can't find this info anywhere else. Not sure if I should use 1.5 or 1.6 rod bearings. I'm using either A6 or ZC pistons on a B7 or B2 crank. Thanks a lot. I'll reveal more information about the build later on

Unless you have the JDM D15B VTEC crank you probably won't be able to install those D16 rods. If you know what makes the JDM D15B VTEC crank so special you'll know what bearings to use.

why on earth would you use D16 rods on a D15 crank? There is a reason why you can't find any info on this :p

Ah! Thanks guys for getting me on track. I read more into stuff I didn't even take about. I'll be ordering that crank tomorrow.

I'll spill the beans I guess since you guys are probably curious. Now, I'm calling MYSELF stupid for this so I don't need bashing. I just want to see how this goes. I'm going for crazy amounts of compression. I'm new to Hondas and I want to build my first motor. With it being my first one, I know its probably gonna go kaploooey pretty quick. At the same time, I've only ever had poop slow d series and so has the rest of our little "group" in town. So I wanna make a quick little fun thing just to mess around with.

B7 block, D15B crank.
ZC pistons
Y7 head milled .015
Single layer head gasket.

I'm figuring at least 15:1 compression by doing that if not, more.
I have access to 100LL so I'll use that to help make it last a little. We are all pitching in and we want it to at least last a day lol.

Here comes the flaming.

Small town I take it? I'd actually be doing stupid **** like that if I were in a small town haha. I'd highly recommend against it being a complete waste and what not with your high expectation for it to last ONE DAY. Be that as it may, do the math and make sure the ZC pistons will not be sticking out far enough to smash the head and/or valves. That's about all I have to offer on that particular engine plan.

That was another one of my concerns. I'll probably get the head milled and slap it together with the PM3 pistons to see if they'll even be ok.
