Default Valve spring differences

I searched with no luck.

What is the difference between the AP1 14761-PCX-003 and AP2 14761-PZX-A01 intake valve springs? Is it just difference In Manufacturer? AP2 retainers will work on both correct?

Anyone know life expectancy of the springs on AP1?

Thanks

yes ap2 retainers work in both but i"m not sure on the valve springs, I don't see why they wouldn't work and I would guess the ap2 springs have a little more spring pressure but I'm not sure.

The problems that the ap1 retainers have are that they crack or sink which causes the valvetrain to have problems. My car had 125k miles on it and a retainer sank while I was cruising down the freeway. The exhaust tone changed a little bit but the car seemed uneffected so I thought it was just one of my vbands coming loose. About 10 miles later the motor scattered and a sunken retainer was the culprit.

I would highly suggest installing ap2 retainer because they don't have these problems.

Yes I plan to at the minimum replace all intake retainers with AP2 along with the keepers

Just debating doing the whole valve train with aftermarket, or AP2 while I'm in there

Are there any titainium retainers that work with stock springs?

AP1 retainers don't just crack and sink on there own...the motor has to be overreved...i.e going from 3rd to 2nd instead of 4th at redline

so I would say the biggest problem AP1 retainers have is driver error
