i got into my car today and after a couple days of sitting (sometimes in the rain here and there) and i went to turn the windshield wipers on to clear my windshield and then i realized 90% of the water was inside the car.........
my door seals are messed up so i was thinking it was really bad condensation or something but its rained a lot harder and that has never happened....

1) why did that happen
2) how can i fix it....

Is the carpet or trunk wet?

 

the carpet never gets wet but since the seals are about 75% useless, it leaks in the trunk and from the front windows. Sometimes it gets so bad it forms water drops along the inside seals, sometimes it stays dry.

 

Fixing these leaks would almost surely solve the problem.

 

New seals can get expensive but so can fixing rust in the future. Also check the installation of the seals since I have seen some cars with them inside out.
