Cam gear TDC pics, I need them.
I have had problems with my adjustable cam gears. Whenever I have my crank pulley at TDC and try to put on the cam gears I get them perfect, then I rotate the crank once and the cam gears are off like a half a tooth. Even if I have it perfect when I line them up. Does anyone have a pic of their cam gears with the crank pulley at TDC? I would appreciate it. I think this is why I am having problems with turbo. Any help on how to fix this would also be appreciated. thanks guys.
PS. Also happens when I put the stock cam gears on too. I have tried many times.

no stock everything. When I put the timing belt back on the cams look straight. Then I crank it (crank pulley) one rotation and they are off half a tooth.

There should be no slack on the tension side of the belt (between exhaust cam and crank shaft) when you are done installing the belt. It looks like you have some slack on the wrong side of the belt after the installation..you might be in the wrong tooth on the crank shaft gear.
Either that or it is time for a new timing belt (to much strech).

Timing Belt only has 24k miles on it. How can I check if I am in the wrong tooth on the crankshaft gear? The timing belt has never been completely taken off so I figured it wouldnt be a crank pulley alignment problem. For all you R owners with cam gears did yours line up fine?
It is not that you would be in the "wrong" tooth... you just need to make sure that when the crank shaft and the camgears are at TDC, you have no slack on the drive side of the belt when it is installed. How exactly are you doing the installation?
My aftermarket camgears did not line up but it is because I have a thinner head gasket.
It could be that your aftermarket camgears are off but then you said that your stock camgear gave you the same problem so...
The only other possibility would be exessive stretch in the belt...

I think I know what you are talking about and I think it is normal.
Rotate the crank until you line up the cam gears correctly. The crank pully TDC should be off by a couple of degrees and you can actually turn the crank the OTHER way to line it up without moving the cam gears.
I thought it was a problem as well, but I remember reading on here that the crankpulley TDC mark is always off a couple of degrees after rotating the crank a few times.
