Hey guys I've been noticing my EP has been doing something strange. I'll press the gas pedal to accelerate and the RPM's will build but it won't go anywhere. After a second or so the RPM's will drop a little and then it will actually pick up speed. I'm suspecting it has something to do with the transmission or clutch. The transmission shifts fine no grinds whatsoever. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Sounds like the clutch is slipping.

 

Yeah that's what I thought too.

 

yeah. Go out onto the road, put it in a low gear at a low speed (30mph and 5/6th gear) and accelerate. If RPMs climb and not car, CLUTCH.


But good news is I might be taking a new job in Baton Rouge I can change it for you if I do lol j/k

Sounds like a slipping clutch to me too! How's the clutch engagement?

 

It's getting a little bit worst everyday. Think I'll put it in the shop after all of this bad weather passes.
