Default 1994 Accord EX Wagon Build - "*******' Wagon"

So I bought this car for $1000 last month, bought it out of rarity and as a family car.

Well, if ya know me, I can't keep ANYTHING a family car! I'm wondering what a good motor swap would be for this car, or am I better off building the stock engine and/or turboing it?

Supposedly there's not many of these around anymore, Honda only made the Vtec and 5 speed STOCK in Wagon Form in '94 and then stopped production due to bad sales. It was families that wanted these cars, not kids with there BBS's back home!

Nonetheless, I love the base of the car... Its faster than my old Civic LX was, the D16Y7 lol. I've only put a cone filter intake on thus far and installed a radio + fixed up a few more things (IE: it had no ***** for climate controls)

Anyways, here's a few pics! I'll start the bodywork and tearing down and rebuilding the motor here soon, just gotta get my truck back running so I have a DD! The Wagon does need new front brakes, as well as a CV Axle too. I'm pretty much going to do EVERYTHING from the wheel bearings to the valve cover gasket (actually, I just installed a new "valve cover gasket kit" that came with EVERYTHING!)

SHE'S NOT THE GREATEST LOOKING THING - YET!!!

BUT SHE WILL BE DROPPED, HAVE WHEELS THROWN ON AND SUCH, VERY ZOON!

Here... Take a 0-60 ride too!

The day I bought er....

.... And now beyond!

Landed right HERE on every cylinder!

Grabbed a new thermostat and flushed the ENTIRE coolant system out, as she was "gunked up"! All good now though!

(Pulled some "crap" off while I was at it!)

Got me some good floormatz and cleaned it up "a little"!

(Carseat for my lil girl!)

Wanted a radio TODAY and didnt have the $$ for a wiring harness, so.... I just looked up the diagram and wired SOMETHING in for NOW! Sooner or later the touchscreen will fill that entire "void"!

And that's about where we stand... For now! I've got a BUNCH of goodies on the way though, so keep your eyes peeled and subscribe!!!

Yeah, I would have donated a wiring harness. You're going to hate yourself for hacking up the stock one. Best Buy's generally have plug and play harnesses in stock for ~$20

Well I wish you would've TOLD ME! Lol... Jk. But I don't really mind it being the way it is, works fine. Everything matched up and it works perfect! I'll wire in the harness when I get a GOOD radio! Haha

I am, I'll have to dig it up outta my parent's house. It's hooked up to a Panasonic head-unit and was fitted to both a '96 Accord EX and '97 VP.

Electrical marrets are a tough go in a situation where they vibrate a lot. You may find them coming loose and shorting out. Been there done that!

I also have a 96-97 Accord Aftermarket radio conversion harness here that I am no longer using. Probably work for most mid 90's Honda's really. It is already set up with the Blue push type crimp on wire connectors. All you would have to do is crimp on some female ends on the head units wires and match up the wire colours....then off ya go!

EXACTLY! Very rare find, especially for the 5th Gen! It's a fun little car! I'm HIGHLY contemplating turboing it, depending if I can get my truck back on the damn road! HA!

I'm just sick of seeing the constant "What swap should I do" threads. Its just as dumb as asking what wheels look good, or what color you should paint something. Its personal preference, that results have been covered hundreds of times.

When the hell did I ask YOU, ANYTHING? That's all I'm wondering...?

I just said, I'M NOT SURE WHAT I'M GOING TO DO YET, TIME WILL TELL!

Yea... I would LOVE to have leathers! I'm sure I could just pull them out of a sedan though?

Yep! I love the way they ride! They only offered that 5 speed/EX combo for 94 and then stopped due to "poor sales". Atleast from what I gather!

Check out bigbpatel's 94 Wagon build if you haven't already. He went with all black leather in his. Looks really sweet! If I was ever to build a wagon it would be very similar.
