Default Timing belt issue...

I have 94 civic w/ d16y7 block with a y8 head(bought it as is). Just recently I had my timing belt changed. And now when I start it, it sounds sluggish when it cranks.. And also it's slow on acceleration through gears... Acceleration is weakest when in 5th. Mostly my 5 speed acts like a automatic that hesitates in gears...

The belt is probably off a tooth. Check the the timing, remove the belt and reinstall as necessary.
