2000 CR-V crank/ no-start help pls
hey everyone , I have a 2000 crv b20z and it was working great. i use it offroad where i live so i don't ruin my civic going into my favorite spot because its a back road
1 day i was drifting it and put it in the ditch and bottomed out a few times than eventually got out of the ditch. the crv didn't seem to be leaking so i continued on my drive. a short distance later the crv seemed to start losing power and bogging. before i knew it i had to pedal the throttle to get it to move under it own power.
know the crv wont start at all and cannot figure out what is wrong. when i try to start it, the engine will kick and sometimes start and rev up to 2k than spudder out and die. that's all i can get it to do.
i have tried replacing the fuel pump with a 98 civic 1, replaced the main steel fuel line with a rubber fuel line from the pump to the firewall filter. changed the filter to a brand new 1. removed the in injectors and examined/cleaned them. i also checked the rely thing under the dash for any cracked solder joints. i replaced the coil in the dizzy with 1 from a civic. checked the mechanical timing and it seems fine as far as i can tell. i even plugged in a scan tool and it reads 0 codes. any ideas????????????????

Usually when you turn the key to the on position, the check engine light comes on for a few seconds to show that the fuel system is working properly. Yours does not light up. I'd start with the main relay and check for signal, as honda main relays are notorious for crapping out/working intermittently . I'm not sure where they're located on CRVs since I've only had to change them on civics and integras, but they're located under the dash on the driver side. If the main relay doesn't work you'll have no fuel or spark.
there has been fuel added since this video. I only added about 10-15L though, as I didn't want to waste any more than I had to if this P.O.S. wouldn't go. and as far as the relay. I checked 1 under the dash , behind the glove box. all the solder joints looked good. the fuel pump seems to be kicking on for a few seconds when I turn the key on. and there seems to be spark.
would 1 from a 96-2000 civic be the same? I do not have much for crv or b series parts around but I have a few d series parts
ok just trying the 1 from my 98 civic coupe. it plugs in but the part number is off 1 digit. but it plugs in. same problem thou.

I believe its the same. I've used main relays from 99 civic in my 94 integra and they were the same. There are model numbers on one side that could tell you for sure if they match with yours.
EDIT: we posted at the same time and I see you've tried the civic one. Does it click when you turn the key to the on position? If not it could be electrical. You'd have to test to make sure the relay is getting power, if it is, make sure that its powering on the pump. Have you checked to see if you have spark?

ok just was out friggin with it and brr its cold outside today. put plugs in it from my civic and it fire up and rev up to like 1500 or so and than dies back down to like 100 ( 1 hundred ) rpm and spits and spudders. soon as I touch the gas it dies. any ideas?( maybe low spark. maybe it needs cap and button ) the main relay seems to be workin same with the pump as far as I can tell by sound
^^ if it is connected, possible cat being clogged?? I'd start with a basic plugs, wires, rotor and cap tune up. If still running rough, do a compression test. Could be the infamous b20Z burnt valve problem.
here is a link to the video. its processing right now but should work shortly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUlx...ature=youtu.be
Just to pinch the fuel return line so fuel can't go back to the tank. I'm thinking your fuel pump is pretty much shot and that will increase the pressure enough to run
I'm thinking fuel pump as well. Have you tried to listen for the pump? Turn key to "on" position and hear for the pump in the back to prime.
u can hear it prime. im wondering if the ecu makes It prime but than fails to operate it . might hook it to direct power with a toggle switch
