Default 1990 acura integra ls 5spd

*trans/sloppy shifter*
I can thumb through all gears just fine...but when I shift into 3rd it actually goes into 1st, 5th into 3rd, and reverse is 4th...rebuild? Totally crap linkage? No clue.. Anyone

I just thought of something else. Is there a lot of side to side shifter movement while you have it in gear? If its nice like it should be, take a look at your shift stabalizer bar bushings that mount the shifter end to the body (not the transmission end) also make sure thr linkage isnt bent. You could have something messed up where the shifter is hitting the hole that it goes through in the tunnel

If you have lots of side to side play while in gear then its most likely the shift linkage joint is shot
