Radiator fan not turning on
93 prelude h22a1 w/ h22a head.
first of all, i only have one fan instead of 2. are they supposed to "always" have 2? standing by the front of the car facing back i have the right fan.
anyway,
fan isnt turning on, not after being warmed up, or even turning on the AC. the relay is good, i also jumped the sensor on the clip that connects to the thermostat housing and the fan turns on, so the fan motor itself is good. whats my next step? i heard possibly the module by the ecu, or even either of the 2 temperature sensors?

just notice the clip that connects to the temp sensor on the side of the head has exposed wires, would something as little as this be causing this? i dont wanna have to start clipping and splicing if i dont have to
yeah the sensor on thermo housing is for temp switch... (that's the one you need)
the sensor on the head is the coolant temp sensor..
I would still tape those wires as close as you can and then put some sealant around them. That will likely cause a problem as time progresses

I'm actually very curious how it is that you don't have the second fan. You really should get it reinstalled. However, since the fan turns on when you jumper the connector for the fan switch it would make sense that either the switch is bad or it hasn't gotten hot enough to turn the fan on yet.
How is the temperature gauge when the car is warm ? Have you allowed it to get higher than normal to verify that the fan switch is bad. Perhaps it's just not hot enough to turn it on yet.

my fan RARELY kicks on, car doesn't get hot enough.. could get a cooler thermostat
if it bothers you put a paperclip between the plug to make sure the fan kicks on (should kick on everytime the key is on)
