Default Is my transmission done for?

So the other day I was driving and started hearing a whirring sound. I thought about the throw out bearing and decided I would change it and would just get home. However I started not being able to get into gears. I then went to pull over and all of a sudden i heard a thud sound and my car could no longer drive. I could start just not move. It almost seems as though the gear is locked up I also had to hold in the clutch while it was in neutral to even roll. I couldn't even roll while in first and pushing clutch in.

I jacked the car up and drained the tranny fluid... however no fluid came out. I had no idea I had a leak in the tranny but no metal pieces are floating in there. So I hope that I lucked out there (probably not).

I have a farely fresh SiR B16 transmission on a B18 block(If that matters)

So I guess my question is has this ever happened to anyone and what needed to be done to fix it? Will I have to replace my tranny? or will I need a new clutch kit? input shaft? Please any help is qreatly appreciated.

If no fluid came out that's not a good sign. Pull the trans, pull it apart and see what happened.

The internals of the transmission have probably melted. I have seen one instance where 5th gear counter & main shaft were melted smooth. At this point I'd say the case is about the only thing that is salvageable.

This was almost exactly what happened, I can't even believe it, I just swapped this engine/ tranny this summer. I guess lesson learned haha, so if you know of any b series trannies let me know!

I have a ys1 b17 short geared tranny Ill sell ya. It's been rebuilt with new synchros, springs, countershaft bearing, and new 3/4 sleeve all from gearspeed. About 2000 miles on the rebuild. Only reason Im selling it is because I came across another one and rebuilt it but with an ls 5th and put it in my car.

Same gearing as an ITR tranny but in cable form.
