Default HELP PLEASE...Turbo GSR hitting boost cut instead of VTEC

96 civic hatch
gsr turbo
67mm turbo
moran motorsports 1000cc injectors
sk2 cams and valvetrain
81mm block
rods and pistons
edelbrock im
obd1 jumper
hondata s300
hondata boost controller
gm 3bar map

tested tps, map, main relay, all fuses. distributor, wires, plugs are good.. fuel pump is ok. took it for a test drive and at 5375 rpm it cuts off. looked at the logs and the sensors said boost cut, fuel cut and ign cut with only 5 psi. never even got to vtec. My boost cut is set at 26psi.

when i unplugged the vtec solenoid, took it for a test run and it went fine. checked oil pressure going to the vtec solenoid, and its fine. Changed the Solenoid and oil pressure switch.. The screens are clean...Wiring to the ecu is correct with no burnt wires.
I also tried a hondata 4bar map sensor...

so basically its hitting a boost, fuel , and ign cut right before vtec

any help will be greatly appreciated...

thanks for reading

Sound like your tune needs adjusting. Has the weather changed in your area? I had a similar/same issue and my boost cut needed adjusting.

do you have the check box under boost cut unchecked for "boost cut on check engine light" ?

You don't have to. If that option is unchecked your vtec solenoid will energize no matter if you have proper pressure or not.

Check every parameter in the s300 you have something set wrong. Is the tps and map getting good readings on the s300? Check all your grounds too.

Sounds like boost cut needs to be adjusted and boost control slightly lowered for cooler weather

another thing I forgot to say was, last time at the track car was cutting out, but when power shifting, it goes well. when returning back on the return lanes I opened up 2nd gear and the just cuts at vtec

Head to the engine management forum then, when you get these uploaded. you'll get more experienced help there.

have you pulled the plugs? they'll tell you what's going on inside the motor better than the ecu, at least in this case. when it cuts out shutoff the motor right away and pull plugs.

there's no way at that rpm level that you're actually hitting 20+psi. clearly you have enough fuel, I would think this is an ignition related issue

the plugs will tell you exactly what's going on when the motor cuts out

have you checked/cleaned/replaced the fuel filter? it could be causing issues as well.

also check the ignitor and coil, the ignitor could be bad or the coil could be weak and or damaged.

I would also pull the rail and make sure all injectors are firing and have a decent spray pattern.

and you can't directly upload the logs. It's not a format the site tool recognizes. you need to upload them to some file website then post a download link to the file here. also take screenshots of the logs and post them up

I agree with everyone else, this thread needs to be moved to the engine management forum so you get better answers.
