Default Stupid noob question: adjusting Koni SPSS

A while ago I picked up a cheap CRX that someone had started making into a STS autocrosser but gave up on it in favor of a STR S2000. I picked the car up to use as a commuter appliance, and we have for over a year now, but the wife is making noise about commuting in something more comfortable (and, of all things, something with air conditioning). Once we figure out exactly what that is, and get it, the CRX will become very much an extra car, freeing me up to develop it further towards STS success.

The car came with Koni SPSS shocks and I'm sure they're adjustable, but I haven't figured out how to actually adjust them. The top of the shocks don't look like the tops of the Koni Race shocks in my Miata so I can't use the adjuster tool that I use on that car. The tops appear to have hex openings (for lack of a better term). I tried turning them with an Allen key but they don't turn; at least, they don't turn to the point where I worry that I'm going to break something if I try too hard to make something happen.

I searched quite a bit of this forum looking for info but couldn't come up with anything relevant. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

The adjustment **** might have been broken?

My koni rears I bought used cheap have the same issue and is why I haven't installed them...
