Default CTR K20A i-Vtec using standalone ECU

how do you program the adjustable intake cam with the usual ECUs like Motec, Haltech, etc...Vtec switchover is not a problem, but what is with this new iVtec where the intake cam can be adjusted a few degrees on the given rpms? How to do this, or is standalone ECU out of game on this engines?

A lot of race teams removed the variable timing thing, because it's difficult to tune and it's not needed for a race setup.....

oh realy? That are good news. What is the terminated setting on the cams then? Can we use adjustable cam gears on that?

the motec setup is the only one capable of controlling cam timing...

The new ECU's can be reprogrammed as they all have FLASH EEPROMs ...

the Toyota use +-50 degree adjustment but racing teams lowered that down to about +-20 degrees because they change the camshaft profiles quite a bit.

I think HKS made a system in Japan for the Skyline to run, and as you knwo the GTR had the variable camshaft ont he intake from years ago...

the new Speedpro from FAST will have the control as well.

Autronic also has the cam timing feature too and it is about 1/3 of the price of the motec setup...

Our reglements do not the use of aftermarket cams, cause of the FIA Gruppe N laws. Only homolgated and OEM parts are allowed to use.

Next season we can run programmable ECUs, tell me more about that new reprogrammable EEPROMS in the stock ECU, how and what kind of computer or software will I need?
