just a quick question
what does it take for a daily 2200-2400lb car to get into 12 seconds or maybe high 11s?
for all motor b series
bosted b series
all motor k series
boosted k series
all stock bore( if thats even possible for all motor b series)
i did some research but having hard time making a valid comparison.
was wondering if anyone have a quick answer from experience

im just not sure which route to take.
i would like to get to 12s possibly high/mid 11s
as much as people recommend k swap im a b series fan i just love the motor and how it looks and sounds...
and it seems like people been getting the torbos tuned up very well to what they need to do and getting damn good gas mileage out of boosted cars. so i might get sold on the boost before i get sold on k swap

You should be able to go 12's on the stuff in your sig with a decent set of tires. There are guys in your area who have gone 9's in daily driver turbo B cars...10's for days and 11's is so easy it hurts...

a few years ago i was running consistant 12.5@115 in an ek coupe full interior on radials with 1.9 60ft. piston and rod lsvtec making 350/230 give or a take a few. it was like 14-16 psi out of a 57 trim. it was very consistant and very reliable i must have put 18,000 miles on that motor that year.
that being said, somewhere in the mid to upper 300s b series on boost will make your goals. once your goals go from mid 11s to mid 10's, it takes a lot more of an increase imo than from mid 12's to mid 11's
on motor im not as sure not as familiar so ill let others chime in on that.

pfab ramhorn
garret 60-1
treadstone intercooler kit
tail 38mm 2 bolt wastegate 12(psi spring)
street tune on 91 premium with old version s300 with the innovate wideband. don't know how much horse it made but was running constant 12, with launch control, full throttle shift at 8k best was 12.6 could of hit mid to high 11 if i had knowledge of better tire back and all that good tuning stuff.
basically any stock d, b, h, and k series motor with a good turbo kit, right fuel setup, good tune, and right tire will run 12 all day, and not to forget you have to be a good driver also.

in full street trim, full exhaust, 93 octane, A/c, no P/S, eg or ek, b20(high comp) vtec, gsr head, type r cams, type r style(rep) intake manifold, type r header(or toda rep),b16 or type r trans, good ignition and good tuning. that will give you 12's easy with a good suspension and good driving.
My car went high 11's and consistent low 12's on drag radials with a basic stock block lsvtec, gsr cam, gt35, and full 3" exhaust. It weighed 2450 with me and retained full interior.

My stock b20vtec with an ebay turbo kit at 8psi made 265whp/210trq, went 12.5 with 22' slicks. I daily'd that thing for 2 years, traveled to Socal a few times and drove 3 1/2hrs north, threw on the slicks, ran my car, swap tires, and drove back no problem. Like everyone has mentioned above, 12s is easy, with a piston/rod setup 11s is a must, IMO.

In 1999 I had a LS allmotor (yes Nonvtec allmotor) 91 CRX that I drive every day. It went 12.8@106 It was one fast *** daily driver back then.

my ek did 12.4 @ 109 at 2480 with driver with a k20a with cams/ rbc 3 inch exhaust. drove the car for years and years all over the country. made 219 on a dyno dynamics
did 11.30 @ 119 at 2370 with 300whp with a simple k24 still on the rbc intake. drove it any time the weather was nice.

since somebody asked, I think I will bring out my street tires out of the attic. they are hoosier r6 185/60/13 tires on vx wheels. best pass(almost 2yrs ago with less power and seat time) went 13.3@103mph 2.0 60ft. im sure i can do 12's easy with these on my b20vtec ek hatch.
itll take 200-300 whp for the weight you have listed to get you 11-12 sec quart mile times. now, the rest will be up to your suspension choice, tires, transmission, driving skill, track conditions, weather ect...
