Ok. This car is actually fun to work on and I have not worked on a car in over 20 years. I have searched online for a service manual and my google-fu is apparently lacking. Does anyone have a link for the service manual for a 1991 Honda Civic SE (Special Edition)? I am in Canada but I assume that the manual should be nearly identical in the States. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I think this car may be a perfect project car.

Other than some cosmetic differences, the SE's were the same as the other models of Civic of that year, so any 91 Civic Factory/Helm manual (Obviously, if you have a 3dr SE find the manual for the 3dr and for 4dr SE use the 4dr manual...) or a Chilton manual (which uses a lot of the same pictures as the Factory) would do.

 

The SE is just a rebadged dx model. The options on huge SE were painted mouldings and a Center console, otherwise it's the same car

 

I have found that haynes and current chilton manuals are the same and they will take you almost all the way and then they wont include a crucial step to complete the task. In other words, go with the helms. Just my experience (35+ yrs) working on all kinds of equipment.

Helms is my manual of choice. I don't think we are allowed to share links here. But it is pretty easy to find them.

Also, the internet is full of write ups. You could just google-fu your way through anything. That's what I did.
