Default Help choosing my Dogbox gear ratio

Could you help me choosing my Gear Ratio.

I know that they are lots of parameters.
Max RPM around 9500
Tires Size: 24.5'' or 26''
Power: B-Serie 6766Turbo 30 PSI around 750 HP.
Etc...

Strips are slippery here, so I'm looking for a 1st and 2nd long gear.

But generally, what are the selected options?

Here is the gear Calculator I use

Steve, you'd want something in the 4.40 final range especially if you plan on running 26" tires.

Default Your RPM at finish Line?

What is your RPM in 4th gear at finish Line?
Should it be past 9000RPM?

depends what your power band looks like. with a stock k20a2, 4.76 final, 22" slicks and my 2600lb car i passed the traps around 9200 rpm, it didn't want to rev anymore and i cringed everytime i did.. i actually shifted into 5th a few times and still ran the same time. lol

Here is an idea of gears I could run (G-Force)
On the left my OEM Gearbox, on the right the Dogbox

What do you think?
Should I run longer in 3rd and 4th?
At the moment my best time is 10.31@144Mph

Can always go with PPG and get 2 fd ratios for each tire size.

depends a lot on gearing and if your motor is good for the extra rpm's. I go through the traps at 10,000

If the motor is built properly then rev it till you need. I go through the traps at 9600@155mph with gsr gear set 4.4 final 24.5" slicks

I ran a 4.0 final drive with a 1.0 4th gear when I trapped 160mph I went threw at 8200rpm. When I changed gearing I didn't notice a difference in MPH only RPM

I finish at 8200@141.
It feels that my engine is fine past 9000rpm and would like to shorten the 4th in order to finish around 9000rpm.
Perhaps It would be better to run the 4th between 8000 to 9000 instead of 7200 to 8200?
I m running 6766 A/R .96 with S2 Pro1's cams

With 24.5 tires?
Which rpm are you shifting?

I was crossing the traps around 95-9600. Stock GSR gears, 26" tires. Depends on powerband where you want to cross at IMO

nice !
Lot of burn in this run even in the 3rd gear.
Don't you think you could get more traction with a longer gearbox?
How many RPM do you shift?
