Strange clicking
I have a 1999 civic si that has a clicking problem. When I turn the car left or right under 20 mph the front right, I believe but its hard to tell, clicks. When it clicks its only slow at slow speeds and is rapid and not to loud. It clicks the same every time, it's not a low click and is very fast. I have a polyurethane aftermarket bumper on the front, it has scrubbed a little but I fixed that. I have a power steering leak but I keep that maintained so I don't believe that's it. When I turn the wheel not moving it sounds normal its only at slow speeds that to fast clicking stops and when you get straight it stops. I cant think of what it may be ive been under the car and everything looks alright for 200k miles.
Should I do just the joints or the whole axle. And I seem to remember some type of deal where you trade in your old axles for a reduced price on the new ones. Or am I just crazy??
You're just crazy. If you don't turn in the old axle, you get charged more - It's called a core charge. Just replace the axle, don't try fiddling with the joints.
