Leaking oil from passenger side sensor on block
Leaking oil from this sensor on the block...is it a simple remove+apply hondabond sort of thing? (see 2nd pic)
Also I was looking at my intake and saw this this air sensor thing that i have never noticed in any of my civics before, is this suppose to be hooked up in the intake tube like that? (i pulled it out of the hose) (See 1st pic)
I have a 99 civic ex

lol at the hack job for the IAT and the 2nd pic I see just a leaking distributer not a sensor seeing as BOTH of them go into the water-jacket not oil passages. they the ECT and the dash sending unit.
This picture was taken right after I cleaned the engine bay. The motor is leaking oil from the vtec solenoid, under the distributor, from the sensor/plug in the pic, and from in between the left corner where the block/head meet (if your facing the front of the car). All gaskets were replaced and this thing still bleeds.
I (and many others) had an issue with a leaking Vtec solenoid. Solution: use a good amount of honda bond or black ATV on top of the snowman gasket. Take care not to get any on the basket filter.
vtec and distributor leaks are common as I said before those plugs go into the coolant jacket it's. apply a bit of RTV if you must but they should be fine once the new gaskets are in.
