DOUBLE DANG: I just typed like 2 paragraphs about radius rods. Haha!

Tie Rods basically control your steering. I would get Moog replacements. I am not sure that you can use any other tie rods since it is a steering component. I think you would have to swap the steering rack.

Out of curiosity I looked up those things, including Moog's product, and although I do believe Moog may be making better rubbers and pivot joints for their products, I doubt that casting (or forging?) would be that much "biffier" - if at all. What bugs me is that OP actually managed to snap those. How often do you come across reports about that that drives people to search for better than OEM replacement? Thanks OP for learning opportunity.

If you REALLY want stronger ones, im pretty sure you're gonna have to go custom. Custom machined tie rod ends + High-end ball joints = $$$$$

You could get an oem one and be fine, that one looks like it rusted half way threw.

You can get a traction bar they have beefier tie rods.

Com'on Mister Clean! Haha.

Anyways, I suggested Moog because it's a good brand. That's all. I know it's not any better than OEM.

OP, that is a radius rod. I would go with a traction bar. I got my innovative traction bar for $200 shipped, but it was slightly used. Or just replace with an OEM unit. The traction bar radius arms are beefier though.

If OP wants an Innovative EF traction bar, I have a used one I'm about to replace with an ESP kit because of the incompatibility with my F20B swap.

89ED, PM me if you're interested.

Care to share the price? I feel like I paid too much for mine some times. The ESP kit is amazing. I love the square tubing.

I would go with a $5 used OEM replacement.
Could be found easily from anyone that spent $200+ for an aftermarket bar.

Ok so today I went to the junk yard with not enough tools specificly 14mm wrench and 17mm deep socket. And I just checked my helms and it does say radius rod. So I asked about radius rod compatibility because mine rusted halfway threw and snapped as I left from a stop sign. I would take a good look at yours. Thank god I was not on the freeway. Leaving the stop sign and getting up to 15 it instantly started to pull to the side that broke. At about 20 mph I let go of the steering wheel. To see how bad it was and the steering wheel spun to the right at an alarming rate. So be carefully check yours out.

So compatibility right away eg does not use radius rods and *a* older teg. I had no pen and paper to catalog everything. I will tomorrow. For the most part all radius rods are bolted down using 17mm bolts except in two occasions. EF radius rods are all the same. Cb cd use two different radius rods per side. The right usually looks like picture 1 the left looks like picture 2 *I couldn't fix the angle. I'm not sure on thickness I'm taking a Mic tomorrow. Ill measure then. Even sixth gen accords used this mixed configuration but thicker I could tell just by looking at them. Picture 3. In 2 late 80's Teg and accord I found adjustable non shim type radius rods that were bolted to the front crossmember with the standard 17mm but were bolted to the lca with two 14mm bolts. Picture 4. Lastly I'm not sure if it was a first or second gen civic had radius rods with sway bar ends clamped to them. A pretty good idea I thought. Picture 3 & 4.
