Hey when I press my brakes when coming to a stop my car tries to shut down' the lights go dim the radio cuts off and the rpm goes to zero and the miles go all the way to zero before I come to a complete start then when I press the gas again every thing goes back to normal....help please

my guess you have some hacked up swap in there....

ok still no much to go off...what happens if you're standing still and hit the brakes what then ?

 

Everything still happens its only when I press the breaks that these things happen

 

start be checking your battery and cables, give more info and well go from there.

 

Maybe bad brake booster.

 

lol no^ they sell brake booster delete kits they're not even necessary.


OP do you have a battery tie down ? I'm thinking something is moving that shouldn't and shorting.

 

Lol my friend had the same problem
The only thing linked between engine and brakes is the booster by the vacuum line
Mh friends was bad and made his car hesitate and shut off after hitting the brakes
He replaced it and it fixed the problem

OP remove the brake booster vacuum line and plug the nipple on the manifold and hit the brakes and see what happens.
Also do what other members said

 

If you have a booster check valve and it is broken or isnt functioning properly, that could make the idle want to drop out when you press the pedal.
