Default Newb Ls/Vtec

Alright guys, my buddy is going to build an ls/vtec..he will use be using a b16a2 head. it is going to be mainly stock..b16 pistons, arp rod bolts and head studs, not sure on rings yet, probably oem. the head will probably have upgraded retainers and springs with skunk2 stage 2 tuner cams. my main question is will his stock p2t ecu work if he uses the b16 injectors without throwing a code? he will run a chipped p28 and probably bigger injectors with a decent tune for daily but for emissions we need a solution..also are the b16 and gsr water and oil pumps the same? I believe I read that the p72 oil pump would work not 100% positive though..

uhm, well im not sure if the p2t ecu will work without codes, but itll run like crap and probably wont pass emissions.

as for the other questions...

b16, gsr and ITR water pumps are the same. they all have the same tooth count, so either will work. youll want to use a GSR timing belt though.
Honda used all the same "p72" oil pumps on all the OBD2 (96 and newer) B series engines. OBD1 though, I think is where people are saying theyre different.

Very cool write up! Very helpful..so for the brief period to get emissions done..stock ecu and injectors with a regulator should be ok?
