so y8 inside hatch and my idle is surging from 1000-1500 rpm. I cleaned ivac, cleaned fast idle, checked for my vacuum leaks and bled but still surging. but if I change the basemap to a gsr, the surging stops completely. any help?? *only surges when the car is at operating temp.

well, in my case on a d16z6, the causes were:
1. The FITV screw wasnt adjusted properly
2. Spark plug wires had too much resistance for stock ignition system
3. (the most important one) my idle was set WAY too high

in short, check your fitv adjustment if you have one, and readjust your idle according to factory specs for the engine, using the correct procedure. then see how things run.
