Hey guys so today someone offered me $300 for my front bumper and lip off my 99 Acura Integra GSR. They were both OEM with the stamp, and in pretty good condition however there was a crack on the lip. we checked for the HONDA logo on the back of both parts. The front bumper and lip were red and the rest of my car is blue so I was inclined to sell it. I saw on ebay I could buy a new one for $185 however i now realize that its aftermarket and it might not fit right. I am also reading that the front bumper and lip could have been worth more than $300. Now i don't have a front bumper and I feel like I fucked up maybe. can anyone tell me if i made a mistake? here are some pics of it. thanks

 

It's probably worth about that price. I wouldn't use the aftermarket bumper though. Trust all the rest of the BCG guys and I have experienced aftermarket body panels and none of them seem to fit right. Go OEM. You live and you learn. Go with a JDM front end now that you have the opportunity.

 

**** well I have already ordered the new aftermarket one off ebay a few moments before I posted :\. Should I try to cancel the order real fast I belive I can, or should I try to make it work? I am leaving for college pretty soon and need a bumper on there. even though i really want an ITR conversion its not exactly ideal at this moment. but neither was selling my front bumper. thanks for the price check.

 

Don't know why you sold it if you didn't have something else lined up to put on your Integra. I'd probably just stick with the aftermarket bumper for now until you're able to get OEM.

If you have a a decent body man it can be made to fit if it doesnt fit exactly perfect. if they take their time and work with it before they paint it.

But oem before aftermarket if you can.

You'd be better off not putting any lip on than a goofy aftermarket one that looks awful.

Should have kept your OEM bumper and lip since the fitment is 100%, now you have to look for another OEM bumper and lip; plus you have to paint both as well..

 

Hey im planning on doing a JDM front end conversion now. How much are my OEM fenders, hood, and radiator worth? both fenders and hood are straight and clean. im gonna return this stupid aftermarket bumper.

 

The OEM ITR lip be selling for like 280 now doe...

Yeah man I've seen a clean eg hatch driving around with no hood near Broadway a while ago. Think it was on BBS RS's. but that's been about it. I'm driving a Midori hatch now. I've got an eg, but its back in Dallas..broke. Lol you?

 

Fenders are $50 each, hood is $100. Radiator support? Nothing really.

 

Cruising in a Fit for now, trying to finish up my ls/v swapped ej8. Was working on a "baller build" eg hatch. 7k latter and lost heart in it.

 

The JDM front end requires you to cut your old core support out and reweld the JDM one in. Just so you know what you're getting in to. You should probably research more before buying/selling stuff.
