I have a 99 si. It started twice this morning. The second time the radio and cluster stopped working but was still running. I got it home and push started it. It ran. Same problem. Then it started backfiring and died. I put a new icm. And tps and adjusted the ohms. I hear the main relay, starter relay and starter click but wont turn. All the fuses are good and the frounds also. ots acting lile somthings grounding but I cant seem to find it. Any suggestions?

 

check your 3 main grounds...

It was a burnt lead inside the ecu.

 

how did you know that?? were is your ecu?

 

I swapped out the ecu and its still doing the same ****. I pulled the ecu out and opened it and found a burnt lead. I cleaned all the grounds. Im stumped I dont even know where to look theres not even a check engine on.

 

So is your car not running or are you talking about the cluster and radio still being dead? Has this car had any wires spliced, cut, crimped? This is turning into more like an electrical issue.

edit: did you by chance check the ground on the thermostat.
