What kind of PSI compression are you D15Z1 guys getting?
I have the service manual and have their ratings for what is nominal and out of spec, etc., but I was just curious how many PSI of compression you guys are generally getting from the D15Z1 or what is the general ballpark figure most people come out around.
What are your numbers? Make sure you are performing the compression test correctly. As the engine wears, the compression may fall to a low level, but provided there is little variance between the cylinders, it will normally run, but with some other issues, such as oil consumption or blow-by.
Thanks guys.
I had:
1: 190psi
2: 195psi
3: 188psi
4: 195psi
I only asked because I was was wondering if these numbers were actually a little high, although the car has 200K+ miles, so might just have some carbon deposits on the head and piston dome.
