Default Wasup Honda heads

New to the site and kinda know about Honda engines so easy wit the bad comments. My ? Is that I want to do a swap on my coupe it has a single cam that a motor mount broke off so I had some one look at it and they said the engine would need to come out so instead of going with doing that + timing belt change water pump etc ...and I can't afford a b18c I was thinking b20 or ls and if I decide in the future to boost the car which one of these engines is best for a turbo or which is the better engine over all .. So if any one with good knowledge on engines and doing swaps can give me some input it would be much appreciated. It's a project in the works

Thanx in advance to all ......Fa5&ekluv.....

awe man, the old tymers are gonna light u up for not searching the topic. if i could start over with my build. i would completely rebuild my D series top and bottom to be bullet proof with vtec head and do boost then. if your dropping a ls or crv motor, change rod bolts and the rods. it'll save u stress later. since i have a b to ef mounts, im looking for a b20 block, b16 crank, to build into a turbo beast with a ls head. i am very patient cuz i hate to spend the money. i like finding the kid on craigslist who gives up, or (more commonly) destroys his car and has to pay court fees to give me a great deal.

Welcome friend,

What is your budget? Is not alot then just get ls rods, arp rod bolts, and just boost. Take it a step further and get vtec head and boost. Check rod bearings as they may be on their way out though.

Oh ok good! Dont cheap out. Buy the right ****, and do your research. Download the manuals so you have clearances, and torque specs and everything. If it takes a while, dont give up! Itll be sweet when you are all done.

Will do..I know people have preferences when it comes to parts and what they r looking for in performance so cheap is not and option for me but would like to know if any specific after market parts give better results than others engine wise so if u had any issue with a certain name brand would be nice to know well 2014 would be the beginning of this project.

Thanx again would keep u guys updated...

What on earth is your capacity to pay? Is not much subsequently simply just obtain ls supports, arp rod mounting bolts, and improve. Go on it some sort of phase further and obtain vtec brain in addition to improve. Check rod bearings since they are often on their way to avoid it however.
