Default Got my new downpipe for my Greddy kit.

So I got my new downpipe built on Friday. 2.5" with a 2.5" flexpipe. Also installed a Kakimoto 70mm exhaust system. Here's a couple pics...anyone interested in downpipes for Greddy kits? I left my original dp with the shop and they are ready to make more. Let me know if you guys are interested, and how you want the pipe to end: no flange, 2.5" flange, necked down to stock-size flange, or a 2.5" pipe like mine?

Very interested!

On the "how you want the pipe to end", what is the difference between the 2.5" flange and the 2.5" pipe like yours?

Let me know on the pricing...

I'm having "de ja vu" moments here! LOL

It looks good, and I'm assuming yours is an OBDII GSR.

Sorry guys, I forgot to mention that my car is an OBD2 GSR. That's the only downpipe I can make unless I get a hold of dp's from other kits.

mod5, I guess there is no difference. my bad, I just meant "with a flange only" or "flange and a 2.5" flexpipe"

Kakimoto 70mm exhaust system. That works out to be about 2.75 inches.

Would like to know what you think of this exhaust. How does it sound? Quiet? Quality? I have heard it is a good quiet exhaust and just wondering what you thought. Also, did you notice a power increase with the DP and exhaust install?

It's very deep, and actually pretty quiet. Prior to this, I was running stock cat, ITR exhaust, and occasionally I'd remove the ITR muffler section for a straight 2.5" pipe out the back. That setup was pretty loud, you couldnt talk or hear in the cabin when decelerating. The Kakimoto is quite a bit more civil, but still has a nice rumble. This might also be the fact that I'm using a 2.5" dowpipe and test pipe now. As for power, a definite increase from the butt-dyno, mostly in midrange, and boost response on the freeway is much improved. This was in preparation of installing and tuning my Hondata 2B, so as soon as I find a good place in Socal to do that I'll have actual #'s for you.

Eastside Muffler in Palmdale. It's a long drive over Angeles Crest, but they do good work.

Looks good! I'm going to have to do the same thing since my used Greddy kit only came with the top piece of the downpipe.

I know this is an old topic, but I'm searching for a downpipe for my Greddy Turbo Si kit. I would think the dimmensions would be the same. Does anyone know for sure?

How much less ground clearance do you have? It looks like it hangs about an inch below the tranny/block seam at its lowest point.

tony u got the best TIG welds i ever seen. i wish my DP wasn't under the car so i could show it off. hopefully the ported wastegate hole will allow me to take full advantage of it.

That's just a trick of the picture. The lowest point of the whole system is the bigass resonator on the exhaust. Clearance is not an issue.
