Default Will Race-pak, or AIM Strada interface with Neptune?

Looking for a better cluster and gauge setup for my integra thats tuned on Neptune. Just curious if theres any of these that will work with being wired into the OBD1 computer and give accurate data? I just cant seem to find data on if the AIM Strada, The race-pak etc will work for me. Any info is appreciated.

Short answer, NO.

Your best option would be is neptune tunerview RD.

So far there is nothing mainstream like that, that can interface with any of the obd1 piggy backs. Tunerview RD1 is best bet. Made by the people of Neptune.

What's wrong with the rd1? It's cheaper than a s2 cluster and you can customize it.

I tuned a 550hp car with the RD1. It was alright, but as far as the tach, it was way behind what the car was doing. It would be at 5000 while the car was on the limiter at 8000 and once shifted, it would still climb to 8000...its like it was delayed by about 3/4 of a second. The tach just couldnt keep up. I guess thats my only real bitch.

That's nice to know. I was going to run the rd1 but if it lags like it'd drive me nuts

Everything seemed to be on point but the tach. Its not a bad unit...especially for the price. But id like to have it for the abilities of the tach and shift light.

I warn you S2000 clusters are slow to respond, too. I ditched mine at 550whp.

Or run an Aim, Motec, or Race-Pak dash without ecu communication?

The more stuff that's drawn to the screen the longer it takes to draw. Just makes sense.

I doubt there was a 3/4 second delay, though. That means it's updating at a little over ONE frame per second and it would take a huge clutter to slow it down that much. Typically with a normal setup you'll get at least 10-15fps. With minimal data you'll see over 20. How quickly the information comes to you also depends on your EMS. Crome and AEM will be slower, for instance.

Anyone can make the RD1 work for their needs. If you need help setting it up I'm happy to help via the forum and email.

Yeah...im not saying anything bad, and i guess i personally didnt see it happening, that was just coming from the guy i tuned the 544whp single cam for and he was on the limiter hard every gear cause he was saying the tach was running way slow.

No worries there. Just saying for everyone who's reading how you setup the layout can drastically effect the speed. If anyone needs help with that just let me know.

I'm just getting started but I'm going to make a transmitter to work with honda obd1 ecu's to interface with my iPhone/iPad Digital Display app. Right now I only have an AEM EMS transmitter.
