Default 93 Del Sol S Where does this wire go?

I noticed that my Del Sol S D15B7 has this plug under the distributor that isn't connected to anything which seemed sort of odd. I still don't know all the ins an outs of the car yet so I finally managed to snap a few shots of wire to see if someone could help me identify it.

Any ideas?

List the number of wires in the connector and their colors.

o2 sensor. Does your car have a check engine light?

I actually just pulled the codes right now as well for the CEL. The codes were 6, 7, and 9.

O2 sensor. By the way, wire colors are described as main color/stripe color. For example, the orange wire you describe is actually an Orn/Blk wire.

Reset the ECU to clear codes, and then drive the car to see which of the codes return.

So do I need to get an O2 sensor or is it just not plugged in. I have no idea what it looks like or where it is. What happens if you don't have it? Thanks for the advice about the wire colors. I couldn't tell the stripe colors though because they were kind of dirty.

Look underneath the car and look at the cat. See if there is something sticking up from it with wires running upwards. If there are wires, follow them til you find the plug and plug it in. If there is nothing there, the wires are cut or the plug is missing you will need to buy a new o2 sensor.

Okay so I just went to check to see what was up with the ECT code and I think it doesn't even have the ECT sensor... I saw a plug with two prongs inside that seem like it is for the ECT sensor. Does anyone know of a thread with pics of how its supposed to look. Is it supposed to be plugged in somewhere? Ay, I feel like such a noob ._.

I'm also kind of confused because if my o2 sensor wasn't plugged in, why didn't it spit out some o2 sensor codes?

So I checked it out in the daylight and there seems to be an o2 sensor near the bottom of the exhaust manifold that is not connected. It actually doesn't have the plug at all just the ends of the wires. Is that what I am looking for? Should this car have more than one o2 sensor? What happens if an o2 sensor isn't plugged in. I haven't really noticed anything wrong with the car without it.

If for some reason it happened to have a chipped and tuned ECU you can disable the O2 sensor with the tuning software (some tuners prefer to remove it)

You know that might very well be what it is. I'll contact the previous owner about it but if that is the case should I just let it be?

It sort of depends. If it's a real tune done by someone that knows what they're doing it should be fine. If it was tuned by someone who has no idea about what they're doing (more common than it should be) or some random ebay chip, then you might want to look into a stock ECU and an O2 sensor, or a real tune.

If you can't get in touch with the previous owner you can always remove the ECU cover and see if the ECU has been chipped (it wont tell you if the O2 sensor has been disabled, but it will tell you at least if it's a stock ECU or not)
