B16 Mounting and exhaust
I have trolled through a bunch of pictures on google and the web, but I am still mystified by what the rear t bracket attaches to on the B16A motor itself. Is the attachement point cast on the motor or is something bolted there. I cant seem to find a diagram or picture depicting it. Also Im sure this probably old hat, but on my 93 coupe, when I go to hook up the cat to the exhaust header, I will need some custom piping done correct? Or do i just need to hook up the cat and get custom piping to the muffler? (Most swap guides seem to omit exhaust in some format) I appreciate the help in advance.
on the b16 for an eg the rear bracket there is a point on the block that sticks out farther than the gearbox and you put that into the mount and you slide the bold through and there will be 2 bolts on the gearbox same as a d series but the mounts are different on a b/d series motors and the cat should just bolt up same as a d series . Did you just swap the b16 into the car ??
B16 isnt in the car, Im making sure I have all the pieces for me to install it. I have the Manual t-bracket as well as having the rest of the mounts in the car. But for some reason I believe Im missing the bracket for the back of the engine....
As far as the exhaust goes: If you have an OEM B16A manifold and downpipe it's a straight bolt on affair as long as you have an OEM exhaust for a D15B7 or D16Z6 from the cat back. If you have a D15B8 or D15Z1 (CX/VX) you'll need to shorten the exhaust up and add a cat in between the downpipe and midpipe. If it's a coupe it should have had a D15B7 or D16Z6 so you shouldn't need to do any exhaust work.
For any other B-series swap there is some exhaust work (either shortening the midpipe, rotating a flange or both)

All of that work and you're using a FRAM filter
Take your T bracket, hold it up to your transmission and tinker with it till it fits, it'll make more sense then.

Fram filter isnt mine, its was on the engine for painting (Previous owner painted the block and brackets and what not, and Im not sure what kinda paint, so it may all flake off or burn off) I typically use purolator filters for my cars. Its got Skunk2 gaskets or something or other on it as well so I may change those out since Im more an OEM type of person when it comes to those things. Its an ongoing swap since Im obtaining the pieces as I go along and get the cash. Im not interested in playing ebay games with crap. I do appreciate the help and input however from both senior members and newbs. Even the little bits of ragging of my "Failure" filter.
You're good
Not everybody knows about FRAM's short comings, I had to educate my brother about a year ago before he stopped using them on his Mazda.
That being said, the only gaskets I'd really use that are AM, would be thermal spacers between TB/IM and IM/Head, but it seems like you're on the right path.
