CEL Code 9 Replacement
Okay, I have an OBD1 B16A in my EF hatch. I recently replaced the distributor with an actual VTEC distributor. However it is throwing a CEL code 9 now. I know it's not my wiring since the LS distributor wasn't throwing a code. However, I would like to swap out the cylinder position sensor from my LS distributor into the VTEC distributor.
So could anyone help me identify the cylinder position sensor? Maybe it's just loose in the distributor. I haven't noticed a loss in power, it actually seems better than the LS distributor even with the code. Fuel economy seems fine. Idle is 750 when warm. Set timing dead on 16 degrees like it should. I was actually really proud of myself when I set the timing because I've always struggled with getting it right on.
Thanks, I will look through my manual and see if I can't find it. But the distributor obviously didn't come on a DPFI hatchback, so I thought it may be different.

I will follow that this afternoon. Just looking for additional input.

Well, bringing this back. Ran through a couple gallons and it seems I am in fact getting some ill effects. My MPG has dropped, considerably.
Anyone have tips on replacing the sensor? Finding these distributors has become a major head ache for me.
