Can you show us a bit more than the bar code?

Is it stock or chipped? What condition are the capacitors in?

it's stock. i'll upload a picture of the inside of it later today.

p.s. is this the best section of the forum to upload a dyno sheet to get feedback and stuff like that?

You could post it here or, depending on your setup, in ether the all motor forum or forced induction forum.

Those ECUs, in stock form, can fetch a fair price when they are in good working condition.

That's the B16A3 OBD1 USDM ECU isn't it? P30? That's worth a bit more than a PW0 or PR3 since the guys in Cali and such can use it to pass smog/BAR/ect with a B16A in their car.

I'm pretty sure that the P30-931 is a JDM unit.

The unit is square meaning it's non-USDM and most likely JDM.

I see JDM P30 ECUs going for anywhere between $100 - $200. If it were a USDM P30 ready for SMOG it could be worth more cash.

the JDM P30 still passes smog, closed loop works the same. it can also be chipped to run USDM P30 if desired, but you do need to use the surface mount chipping components.

I sold one just like this for $220. If you chip it the knock board works for any B series engine (on mild performance applications anyway). Doesn't support S300 though, obviously.

You can use Hondata S300 on a square unit. You have to get S300J. I think it mounts outside of the board.

I though that was only if your emissions/smog testing is sniffer only. If you have to actually submit to a scanned emissions test it wouldn't pass.

So would i be correct in saying;
Sniffer/smog = Yes
CARB/Emissions = No

I totally forgot about the s300J, my mistake.
Not sure if it passes CARB, but I do know it passes smog. I'm not sure why any OBD1 ECU wouldn't pass scan test though, it's all the same protocol.
I know for certain 04+ requires at least J2534 comm to pass emissions, but CARB laws prior to that are a gray area.

I was just looking at the P30; mistake on my part. I was a little excited for a USDM P30. They are rare-ish I'd say.
