Icon2 simple swap wiring harness confusion

I had to do a lot of replacing but the engine is now in & as soon as my ctr suspension arrives the car will be on the ground & all is left is wiring. Ive done nothing but read & ive found a few different sites that make a bit of sence to me but I want to be positive before I spend a lot $ on risking ebaying a harness or going to a junkyard & ripping out the wrong one. Heres a couple links to what info ive looked up & found help, yes the answer maybe in there & ive over looked it but a simple yes you are correct or wrong would be great.

My question is, with my car being a 98 dx hatch doing a b16a swap & my motor is obd1 & im running a chipped p28, what would be the easiest method for doing the wiring right now. I know I can use my current wiring harness but then I would have to do mods, I wish to avoid that so I figured find a wiring harness from a 96-98 ex 5 speed & then I should only have to do 1 or 2 mods at the most( I think just the knock sensor needs extended), Am I correct to say that is all I would really need at this point? I do have the ecu jumper from bod2a to obd1

2nd question... In the links above, one I understood better & seemed like it was more accurate but he was saying I would need a jumper for my dizzy/injectors & taking clips out of my fuel injectors but Ive never herd of going that far on such a simple swap. Any merit to this or does it not apply to my situation?

Thanks in advance guys & I apologize too. I know one is a very simple & been covered a lot but I had someone who I think purposely tried to confuse me so I would "hire" him to do it

Using a 5 speed '96 - '98 EX harness is the easiest way to do it, but you'll still have to deal with the OBD1 injectors, distributor and alternator. The easiest thing to do is replace all of them with OBD2 versions (injectors are easy, Y8s are the same so they're easy enough to find) You can also swap the CYP/CKP/TDC sensors out of an OBD2A D-series distributor. Other than that you can buy adapteter harnesses, cut and splice plugs, or in the case of the injectors you can pull the blue insert and ty wrap the clip to the injector.

So pretty much go take the wire harness & injectors from a 96-98 ex 5 speed & buy a 99 si dizzy & alt? I may just buy the adapters that I saw, to save costs & keep things simpler for myself. I think there were some for them all on rywire at a total cost of 150 max for everything & that's still cheaper then some other parts. I also was unaware that 2nd gen b16a injectors are the same as y8s. Thanks for the info, I will probably order a harness tomorrow if I cant find one locally

Yes.

Y8s and all OBD2 B-series engines take the same 240CC injectors. As long as you get injectors from any of those you'll be fine.
