AEM EMS-4 reviews on big power setups?
I'm building a SFWD Neon RT now and we're going EMS on this car with a custom harness, switch panel, Race Pak and all of that jazz.
I'm considering the EMS-4 since I've seen bayshore power run low 9's on soft passes with it in his SRT-4, he had V1 when he went 8's I believe.
The thing that scares me the most is the AEM hardware seems to be hit and miss. As anyone can imagine a build like this already leaves enough other things to worry about so I would prefer my EMS to be solid, but I can't afford Motec and honestly don't feel I'll need it.
Who here is running EMS-4? What's your ignition setup? What's your ET and trap? Horse power?
If you're running EMS-4 are you running boost control off of rear wheel speed? I've considered doing that and getting rid of my AMS NLR-1000.
I've also started looking at the Haltech Platinum Sport 1000, which I know is more money but I'm thinking it may be more solid. It just depends on what business allows.
I was somewhat looking at Pro-EFI, despite it being beyond what I think I can spend, but It seems it doesn't have internal data logging, which would be annoying to me. I don't wanna have a laptop in the car while I run.
I know any of the EMS's I mentioned above will require a external trigger setup, and that's fine with me. I've been looking at this stuff more and more since it's getting closer to time for me to make the purchase.
Any input is appreciated!
Thanks!

Don't forget about the motec M84. Comes with internal logging (12 channels). And lamda control. We run it on a couple of our supras. Rock solid software and hardware.

Not a 'big power' setup, but I'm convinced that AEM V2 is best' for what I need.

Platinum Sport 1000 or Motec M84
Like you said, you want your engine management to be SOLID
Also consider a lot if the PRO PLUGIN Haltech boxes allow you to run a standard 24+1 trigger pattern using the features a PRO box offers (versus Platinum) at a pretty reasonable price.
