testing fuel injectors

Default testing fuel injectors

got a ecu fault, 16. reset and didn't get again...so far. I have only 2 injectors. is there any way to check, clean inspect these injector to see if they're any good or starting to fail? thx.

with a multimeter you have to check the two posts on the injector... I believe it should be 3.....if you have a shop manual its in the troubleshooting process for 16. manuals are downloadable online...so you should have one.

This is correct. As far as the procedure, but check your manual. Also, you can clean injectors very easily after you have removed them. Should be able to google it or search on YouTube.

Thanks Guys, do the solenoids go bad? it seems where i use to accelerate on hills now it seems to lag. idols different on warm up. anywhere else is be looking at? got 270,000. miles. thx.

Injectors do go bad and they get clogged over time. The lag and such could just be you needing a tune up really. New plug, wires, rotor and cap. Maybe some fuel system cleaner. New fuel filter, fresh air filter. Timing for the distributor to be checked and within spec. Clean the FITV and IACV. After that, it will feel like a whole new car most likely.

Thx Freemananana, Ahhhhh, whats a FITV and IACV? will only have to explain once, lol. im a chevy guy, also working on a 67 Chevelle. But my CRX is my dependable commuter! thx.
Also is all that idle, smog, warm up thingamajigs cleanable and/or easily replaceable? and where a good site buy these? thx.
