Default HELP! Severe leak under distributor!!!

I have a 95 honda civic lx 1.5L and it's leaking really bad under the distributor. after a 2 hour drive, all my oil is gone. the passenger side is covered. Just replaced head and replaced the new o ring seal with it. I used OEM Honda o ring. It is definitely dripping from the bottom of distributor. What am i doing wrong? it should not be leaking this much.

You replaced the distributor o-ring? Or the valve cover gasket? My best guess is that you pinched the seal when you put it in...or that your valve cover gasket is leaking.

I used a felpro o ring first. lubricated it and everything and made sure it didn't pinch. then i got oem because it was leaking and oem fit a little better but still is leaking. i wonder if something is wrong with the head itself since it's a reman. i replaced the valve cover gasket as well. definitely coming from the bottom of that distributor.

I am by no means a complete expert, but it seems as if that's about the only thing that it could be...if it is definitely leaking from the distributor, and you definitely didn't pinch it, then I can only assume that there is something wrong with the portion of the head the o-ring seals to. That sucks man.

Mine was leaking from that o ring seal. Ordered from eBay like $4. Marked my distributor took it off and the old seal wasn't even rubber any more it was like hard plastic. But I replaced that. Took about 10 mins now it stopped.

Maybe its the seal that's inside the distributor. Have you changed that yet? There is the seal on the outside and its one on the inside of it. Idk it that seal will make it leak that much but its worth a try.

the seal on the inside of the distributor is most likely the cause. take the cap off the distributor and if theres oil in it then you need to replace the internal seal it could potentialy ruin your distributor. I had the same issue

Oh yeah, &if you decide to change it make sure you mark your distributor. With paint or a sharpiee or whatever you have. So you don't get your timing off. I marked mine in all three bolts just to be sure I didn't get the timing off but you don't have to. You can just do it on one.
