Turn key, pump starts. Nothing else happens *COLD*
So as the title say I turn my key and nothing happens. I can hear the fuel pump, and all instrument lights come on. But the starter doesn't work. Happens in cold weather 19 degrees today. It happened before but I would turn the key and it would take a couple seconds then start turning over. Now I turn the key and just nothing happens. CEL came on once I got it started today, (strangely started when the drivers door was open twice). Anyone have any ideas?
In for info because I've been having the same problems lately. Seems to be much worse when it's cold.
Every time I think I have it fixed, I find myself push starting my car in the morning.
What I have replaced recently:
Distributor (Died on me)
Alternator (Died on me)
Battery (Wasted $)
Main Relay (Wasted $)
Disconnected 100% of my aftermarket items, like radio, alarm, power window modules (Wasted time)
If I push start it, a few seconds later I can shut the car off and start it back up. Seems like the battery is just weak, so I bought a new one. Just to find the same problem the next morning. I thought it could be parastici drain, but I checked with OHM meter and it is less than .0030 amps with the ignition off.
One other thing is if I hold the key on long enough, sometimes it will start. If I hold it too long I get a CEL for crank sensor.
So frustrating because I can't reproduce the problem at will. It's about once or twice a week in the morning.
Car is in sig.

OP make sure you have sufficiant power connection to your starter. then ground's! thermo housing and chassis to gearbox ground would be ones to check

I assume you mean engine does not crank, [starter not working] when you say it does not start, also because yous a a push start will work, is that correct?
