So i need a little help figuring this problem out with vtec... I swapped a gsr into my integra and vtec cracked fine, the motor was tuned on hondata s300, skunk 2 tuner2 cams, and 310cc injectors. the kid took the s300, cams, and injectors back and now im running b20 injectors with type r cams and a gsr basemap on a p28, vtec cracked 3 times then stopped and it hasnt worked since.. the solenoid clicks when 12v is applied, all wiring is correct, i have no cel, when i rev the motor and connect 12v to the solenoid i can hear the rockers lock into vtec, but the motor does change tone and i do not feel it. ive treid everything, does anybody have any suggestions?

everything else works fine on the car ? why did you let someone take the good parts from your engine lol ?. you sure there's not cel ? I'm thinking the bulb is gone/burnt out check it !

 

Ya got good oil pressure?

 

check oil level. and make sure the car is fully up to temp.

 

Yes the engine light works, I do have good oil pressure and my oil level is fine. I'm stumped

 

Check the wires in the back of the ecu make sure they have good conection it happend to me

 

Connections are all good as well

 

It has to be your wiring... So no check engine light? Bc it happend to me recently and my wiring was screwed up, maybe your ecu. My vtec cracked 3 times then stop working when I went on the interstate.. Pissed me off, went home wired my vtec to ecu. And my knock sensor and it works...

 

Have you checked the solenoid for metal shavings? My buddy's car had so many it clogged his vtec solenoid, then got a knock. Lol
