Default Clutch Recommendations?

I'm busy getting my Integra's transmission issues ironed out and I figured while I've got the tranny out I'll upgrade the clutch and flywheel. I was looking at this kit http://gripforce.com/product/f1-stag...1.7l-1.8l.html (can't beat the price) but its a brand I'm not familiar with and was wondering if anyone has any experience with it or could recommend something in a similar price range. My car is just a daily driver at this point but could see light modding in the future.

Also, the car is a 1990 integra GS but I'm about to install a 1992 LS transmission. The clutch I need to use should be for a 1992 LS, correct? Thanks.

The clutches for those 2 cars should be the same. There's a reason that the clutch kit in your link is cheap

I would recommend an exedy stock replacement. They're around $110-120 shipped on ebay/amazon. It will handle light modding and it will last a long time.

As far as flywheels go, a used stock ITR unit is light and cheap. Or just resurface your current flywheel. Don't cheap out on a flywheel. Stay with a steel (chromoly) flywheel that's SFI cert'd or OEM. That gripforce store does have decent deals on clutches. I've bought maybe 5-10 kits from those guys.

stock replacement is all you really need. and yes 92+ clutch. 90-91 input shafts had the smaller spline.

exedy OE my old one stood up to a lot, heck still had life left when I pulled it! to add the disc surface is different for the hydro/cable Trans's clutch discs afaik the cable ones have a bigger disc.

Ok so you would recommend going with something like this: http://gripforce.com/product/exedy-g...-1.7l-b17.html

And then for a flywheel I did some searching but was having a hard time finding a used oem ITR flywheel. I found this on grip force which includes the F1 brand flywheel: http://gripforce.com/product/exedy-o...r-b17-b18.html

But I also found this kit which includes the Gripforce brand clutch and flywheel: http://gripforce.com/product/gripfor...1.7l-1.8l.html

Any thoughts on the Gripforce brand stuff?

use exedy, fidanza or ACT for the flywheel. don't cheap out here. very critical part, if they are off a few grams it will affect the balance and induce vibrations

also agree on the oem replacement clutch. i used one of those on a fidanza for years and loved it. drove great, performed flawless.

unless prices have gone up that exedy oe kit should be 100-120, check gripforce ebay and see if they have any packages with a fidanza or exedy flywheel

Awesome, thanks. I found this on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/EXEDY-CLUTCH-KIT-FIDANZA-FLYWHEEL-92-93-ACURA-INTEGRA-RS-LS-GS-GSR-1-7L-1-8L-/151063317799?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AAcura%7CModel%3AIntegra&hash=item232c134d27
I think I'll probably make an offer on it. I appreciate the advice guys.
