No map sensor port on edelbrock victor x???
Just got a victor x IM and edelbrock 70m TB. I noticed there is no spot for my map sensor. Anybody else run into this problem? Do I need to drill and tap my own port for it? Or am I not seeing something. I've went over the installation instructions multiple times and it says nothing about the map sensor. What to do what to do?
Your going to have to run something like a firewall mount map sensor with a vacuum line connected to the manifold. You could also run an aem map sensor and that will thread into the back of the manifold. You need software to calibrate the map sensor if it's different than stock. The edelbrock throttle body you ordered is most likely for a domestic with a maf. More info about the build could help you make the right decision.

It's not a stock map sensor. I have a speed factory 4bar map sensor. I'm running a fully built 98 spec itr motor. With a turbo set up. I ordered the IM and TB from edelbrock for my motor. So it should have everything I need just not a spot for the map.
if the tb doesn't have a the spot for a stock map sensor you can use and vacuum port on the back of the manifold with a vacuum line to the sensor.
The thing of it is, the sensor doesn't really have much to hook up a vacuum line to. On the bottom of the the sensor there just a tiny nipple that went into the stock port. It's maybe a little bit bigger than the led in a pencil.
