If event is canceled before eliminations begin, racers will receive free race admission into any future IFO. If there is rain, drag racing will continue after the track is dried off. Car show, drifting, stereo contest, and all other activities are rain or shine. I can't update everyone individually on event status, so be sure to call the IFO phone line at 225-247-RACE (7223) or visit this link for event status info: http://forums.the****.com/.../sg-forums.thread/th-502 -Check for updates the Saturday and Sunday morning before an event.

Sweet final, FCS had some issues (almost ran out of time getting to the line), they lost to the #6 qualifier, 10.03 to a 10.06. The Integra had the Civic til around 800ft down the track. I wish every IFO was streamed on Ustream!!!
It was a big turn out for this event, maybe because it was the last event of the the year here on the West. FWD and FIS were jammed pack. I wouldn't have had it any other way, gotta end the year well. As it did end well, there were unfortunately too many oil/coolant downs! People have to start getting with the program and start using water wetter and diapers/catch pans. I suggest that in the on coming year Cliff or any other sanctioned body should start enforcing these such items. Speaking of enforcing, there were a lot of cars not within spec/class rules. For example: cars with no cage, no harness, no scatter shield, no proper safety equipment, etc. I don't care what anyone says but safety first! I'm not knockin on anybody or bitchin cuz I got eliminated in the quarters, hell, the guy who eliminated me had all the safety equipment needed til an ET of 8.5sec. Just saying, saftey first! Protect yourself and others around you. Rules are made for a reason!
Props to Cliff and sponsors for holdin it down for another great year of racing! Let's hope to see better turn outs than we have had this year for next year and for years to come.

We had a fun time, albeit not without some issues, lol.
First pass I went 8.21 @ 183.. 6-7 hours later when I went to make my first round of eliminations pass, I assume I did not have the car all the way in 3rd gear and rounded the dogs..
Oh well, thats racing..
TSR Aaron's car cracked the divider on the #1 exhaust port into the cooling system 1st round of qualifying. The radiator was filled up with some magic stop leak garbage and the car went 9.05 and 9.07 after that, pressurizing the cooling system every pass. In the semi finals against Parks, it finally started to leak, and the car was stopped after the burnout.. Still a good time for us, with both cars setting personal bests, and I am getting closer and closer to that elusive 7 second timeslip on a 72mm inducer..
Lots of oil downs slowed down the event, a Mustang hit the wall, and a Camaro took out the 330' box in Test and Tune.. Still amazing to see the large fields in FWD, I can't wait to go back to the small tire..
