Default Found a fix (temporary at least) for squeaking hatch

I'm probably not the first person to think of this, but I just wrapped the latch in a few layers of electrical tape. Sounds ghetto (and it is), but it actually works! I just did it today so I don't know how long it'll last. It works by physically enlarging the latch (to take up slack that has built up over time) as well as by damping any rattling that does occur so you don't get that loud metal on metal squeaking. It made the hatch harder to close, I have to slam it now, but it seems to work fine other than that. I'll let you know if there are any complications over time.

I've done that also. It actually works pretty well.

use the two pieces of rubber on the sides, and twist them so they go outwards. That stops the squeaking.
