A JDM HG will give you more power. Thats why the JDM motors are better from the factory. USDM B16=160hp and JDM B16=170hp

I can't let that sit too long because I don't want to spread false info. I was giving a stupid answer because frankly it is a dumb question.
If you SEARCHED using the space kindly provided above that says "search..." you would have found in 30 secs all B VTEC head gaskets are the same. And also there are only 3 HG's for the B series. All vtec motors B16, B17, B18C use the same gasket. LS is its own, and B20 is its own. USDM or JDM it doesn't matter.

LOL "JDM headgasket" almost as bad as "JDM throttle body gasket" I heard some kid mention.

Sometimes we have to keep it light with the amount of questions like this that get asked.

If you have a b16a get a b vtec HG. That simple.

Your buddy probably had lsv and tried running an ls HG on it. Big no no

you're supposed to run the hg that matches the block.

Not going to e-battle. I know it's possible to run a LS HG with the rivets removed and the vtec is supposed to leak but a very tiny bit of gray rtv around front oil passage on both sides fixes that with no mods to the gasket.

And OP I wasn't trying to question you at all. Was just trying to answer your initial question without adding too much more than just an answer.

Its a preference thing. I was just throwing my opinion on it. no battling necessary.

I've seen all too many times people start raging over the lsv hg topic so I wanted to be up front.

But again for the OP it's just b series vtec gasket cuz the whole motor is a b series vtec.
