Default Em1 Accelerating problems

Hey what's up ht.
Okay so my dilemma is when I'm trying to accelerate my car it chokes when I hit around 3k rpms and it doesn't accelerate for a good 10 seconds then it picks up so you can say. it does it when it wants, but once it goes away doesn't do it again till I turn off the car and start it up again and yes When i shift it still does it till it goes away. now I have replaced the iacv and clean my throttle body, checked for any leaks and it's all good. I took it to a shop and fixed a shortage and the choking stopped for a couple of days then it started doing it again, so I took it back and they can't find anything any advice?
And sorry for the long story. Only way to get my point across. Thanks!

Do your RPMS go up but you're not accelerating still?

Quick check list: Any cels? Whats the operating temp? Using any coolant/oil?

Sounds like loss of fuel, or interference with spark. Could also be a cat that expands when it gets warm but is choking til that point.

All tech threads require engine information.

Bro, jack the car up safely, and check the o2 sensor towards the end of the header. I recently had the same issue last week and one wire from the o2 sensor was cut in two.

My bad I was out if town.
And to purgat0ry no my rpms go down when im pressing on the gas pedal. Like if its choking.
I have 2 cel one is my 2nd o2 sensor not reading and I have a canister leak
I bought the car with a b16a2 with a wire tuck headers and aem short ram
but my mechanic told me I might be converted to a obd1 since some sensors where taken off. So honestly im still trying to figure out what has been done to my car.

What ECU are you using?
Look at the VIN code on the block / transmission.

I had a very similar problem and turned out being my spark plug wires. Check them and see if you see any nicks or cuts in the lines.

Other things I was told could be the problem when I had my issue was the fuel filter and the fuel pump(I actually replaced both of them before figuring out it was the wires) and I never had a CEL when all this happened

The issue is the two CEL codes, fix them.

If your ECU knows that you don't have a 2nd O2 sensor, it is a USDM OBD2 ECU. JDM ECUs and OBD1 ECUs don't know WTF a 2nd O2 sensor is. They will ignore it because they're not looking for one.

Are you sure you're not throwing a code for the PRIMARY O2? A bad or disconnected primary O2 sensor would cause the problems you're describing.
