crv awd swap in a cg5
just wondering has it been done and can it be done where would i mount the transfer case i will be doing a boosted g23 and the idea came into my head in theory this will be insane so any thoughts or ideas on awd swap or any other ways of going about it on a cg5
Anything is possible. You would be the first on here to do it.
I was thinking of doing a similar project with an AWD Mazda tribute and a Ford Focus.
I own the 01 Mazda tribute and it has a Ford drive train that is in excellent condition.. The body and frame on the other hand, probably only has one more winter left in it before it goes to the crusher. So I will remove the complete drive train and suspension and work from there. Finding a suitable chassis with similar dimensions is the key.
There is but one way to find out if it can be done.... Just do it and make sure to document it!

A buddy of mine has a K24/K20 CRV/Wagovan engine/driveline in EK Civic hatch. It took a good chunk of custom work getting everything mounted properly. Once its completely finished it will be absolutely amazing.
what do you mean?
maybe familiarize yourself with the parts you're asking about... there's not really a transfer case per se. more like a PTO shaft off of the transaxle that sends a little back to a differential at the rear.
it's just not feesible in an Accord. you'll need to fabricate trasmission mounts, you'll need an H2B adapter kit. room can be made for the driveshaft to the rear, but custom rear hubs, fuel tank relocation (fuel cell in trunk), fabrication of a rear subframe to hold the driveline...
IMO if you want AWD, buy a car that's AWD then figure out how to put your engine of choice into it. Or like Ghost mentioned, choose a car that has a chassis similar to an AWD equipped model. The Accord does not. The Civic does.
