Re: K20 swap (RGarramone)
If you have all the needed parts the swap is almost as easy as doing a B-series swap. You can learn alot about the swap checking out a few sites.
http://www.k20a.org will answer alot of questions.
http://www.hybrid-racing.com will answer a lot of questions as well
After checking out those sites you can PM me with any other questions.

It is an expensive swap look to spend about
$7500-6000 for everything

Re: K20 swap (RGarramone)
The K20 swap into the EK is a nice setup. The only drawback with that swap is the ground clearance. The EK's crossmember is a bulky design and the steering rack is housed inside of it. When you mount a K-series engine in that car you wind up mounting it pretty far forward to clear the crossmember. The K-series motor is as tall as an H22 and because the hoods slopes down towards the further foward you are the engine has to be mounted low to clear. It doesn't matter with a lot of people, but if you intend to daily drive the car it can be a pain.
Hasport has fixed the problem with a newer mount kit that is used with an EG crossmember, steering rack and lower control arms. Using the EG crossmember allows the engine to be moved back 2 inches. The hood is higher here so the engine can be raised up. There is some additional protection gained by getting the oil pan close to the wheels too.

Re: K20 swap (brian g)
thanks but i jave a new plan now...still going with a k20 but ive found a 99 ls integra to put it in...i know its heavier and the car will be slower than if it was in a hatch but ive always wanted to do a jdm type r conversion and thats what i want...how difficult is it to swap a k20 into this new platform? also forgot to mention the car already has a jdm 97 type r engine in it....should i keep the b18 or go with the k20

Re: K20 swap (RGarramone)
The swap process is virtually identical here is a parts list:
• K series motor/tranny/ECU
• K series engine harness
• K series charging harness
• Hybrid Racing motor mounts
• Hybrid Racing conversion harness
• Hybrid Racing axles in appropriate stage
• Hybrid Racing clutch line
• Hybrid Racing radiator w/ FAL FAN
• Radiator Hoses
• B/D series coolant temp sensor and fan switch
• Billet Hose Insert for use w/ temp sensor and fan switch
• GE fuel rail
• AEM Fuel Pressure regulator
• Hybrid Racing Fuel Line Kit
• REVO Shifter box
• Karcepts Shifter mounting kit
• RSX Shifter Cables
• Shifter linkage Clips/ Cotter pins
• AEM intake
• DC sports Header
• Custom Mid Pipe with H22 flange
• Throttle cable
• EP3 pulley/bracket and EP3 belt (if retaining AC)
• Evolution Industries AC and PS removal kit and RSX belt (if not retaining AC)
• AC and PS line Kit
There are a few parts in the list that can be substituted with cheaper alternatives or where only one is needed.
For example you will need either the EP3 pulley setup or the Evolution Industries AC/PS removal kit not both.
Do you have any experience with wiring? Have you performed an engine swap before?
