I haven't been able to find the answer to this question yet so I'll ask it specifically.

I have a 99 DX hatch that I'm getting ready to do a Y8 mini me on. I'm trying to gather absolutely every part I might need because the down time needs to be minimal. I was looking on the Honda parts web site and noticed that the part numbers for throttle cables on the DX (EJ6) and EX (EJ8) are different. Is it necessary to swap the cables during a mini-me or can the DX cable be used?

 

you can use the dx cable, but it is better to use the ex cable.

 

Thanks, I'll put it in the "look for" JY list and it looks like the cables are different for auto and manual.
