Default Cost to install a motor?

I am curious to see what shops are charging to take out a blown B18C motor out of a GSR and put in a new (used of course) b18c motor? $800, $1,000 or $2,000? Thanks

all depends where you are/what shop you go to, why can't you do it ? 500-600$ is normal around here(Toronto).

Usually shops will charge $700-1000 for a complete swap. If you think about it, most shop rates are $85-$110 per hour. A decent shop should be able to do the swap in an 8hr day.

Go to your local Honda web site.
Cost me $500.
I supplied the motor and the parts.

I would think it would take about 10 hours max and that is taking your time. Correct me if I am wrong.

well he's already got a gsr in there so everything is already the right length etc as in if it was a non vtec civic DX then you'd have to extend some wires/make adjustments. 8 hours or less is fair with air tools imo is fair, it took me about a good hour to remove my b18c1(obd1) but mind you I have no AC/PS+shaved bay so there was considerably less to remove lol.
